Day-time Glam!

Who made up that rule that you can't have dramatic eyes and lips? I threw that idea out and went full-on glam during the day. Scandalous, I know.

Wet & Wild "Hannah Pinktana" nail polish!

Last week I picked up a Wet & Wild polish set from Walgreens. It was $1.50 for the duo and I could choose from a variety of colors (all quick dry) that came with a quick dry top coat as well. I chose "Hannah Pinktana"- a pinkish purple polish with lots of rainbow holographic glitter!

Despite the silly name and low price tag, I actually loved this polish! The glitter particles are smooth, so no chunkiness here. It's super sparkly but not so intense that you can't wear it out in public. This looks beautiful both inside and outside (the sun makes it sparkle like nothing else!). Because this is a sparkle polish, I had to apply 4 coats to get this level of opacity.

I've got the blues...

Tis the season for red lipstick!

Something about the holidays always makes me reach for red lipstick. Here's a look I did featuring M.A.C Red.

Used:
Soft Ochre P/P
Shore Leave
Urban Decay Illegal
Love Thing mineralized blush
M.A.C Red L/S

Dramatic eyes and ridiculously big hair

This is one of my "what was I thinking?!?" hair moments. I guess I thought volume = good, but this is just hilariously bad. At least the eyeshadow turned out ok...right? ;)

Used:
Soft Ochre P/P
Corn Shadestick (on lid only)

Valerie Fund Ball

Every year my family attends the Valerie Fund Ball. It's a charity event where the proceeds go to children with cancer. You learn more about the Valerie Fund here. The ball is an amazing black tie event that's always fun to get dressed up for! Here's the look I did + a bonus picture with Gavin :)

Can't get away from the purples...

Anyone who sees my posts on LJ knows that I am absolutely obsessed with purples. I pretty much have to incorporate them somehow into every look! Here's a FOTD where I just caved and gave in to my purple obsession...

Used:
Mehron light purple (as a base)

Parfait Amour
Vellum
Stereo Rose

Halloween gore

Yeah...it's February and I'm first posting my Halloween makeup. Oops! Anyway, here's a quick "ripped face" look I did for fun on October 31st- to go nowhere except my boyfriend's apartment. People on the street didn't even react even though no one else was dressed up! This is a completely unoriginal look but here it is anyway:

Blech! Here's what I used:
Ben Nye scar wax
Mehron red
Mac Basic Red pigment
Espresso
Nameless dark purple matte shadow

Stereo Rose LOVE!

After years of waiting and wanting (hah), my boyfriend got me the best birthday gift I could have hoped for...Stereo Rose! I had its re-release date written on my calender, but when the time came, I was so crazy at work that I never got a chance to go. Lucky for me, he pays attentions when I blab about makeup non-stop and was able to grab me one!

I am NC25/30 and this is the perfect blush for me. It makes my cheeks super glowy and rosy! I find that it's really versatile too- apply it lightly for a barely tinted shimmer, or go full-on for a really dramatic gorgeous cheek. FOTD's using Stereo Rose coming up!

Birthday greens!

Ok here we go...finally posting the rest of my looks! Please click on the pictures to view a larger image :)
